Coaching mindset!

This half a day course is an introductory part to COACHING FUNDAMENTALS program. Managers, Leaders, HR Partitioners are welcomed to attend the session during which we will focus on defining what coaching is and what coaching is not. Coaching is critical for the development, growth and performance of people. This has been scientifically proved that organizations that effectively prepare managers to coach are 130% more likely to realise stronger business results and 39% stronger employee results through engagement, productivity and customer service.

Introduction

“Unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them” (Whitmore, 2009) or “a collaborative, solution-focused, results-oriented and systematic process in which the coach facilities the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee” (Grant, 1999) are most commonly used definitions of coaching.

Coaching draws from many disciplines and shares a number of approaches to working with people. Moreover, the term “coaching” is often used to describe a wide range of interventions ranging from one-to-one learning, counselling to just talk.

Moreover, “Life coach” is not someone who was “trained” by life or “Business coach” is not someone who was trained by “business”. One needs to meet specific requirements to be considered as a coach that refer to their mindset, skills and tools. Not everyone can be a COACH!

Overview

The primary objective of this introductory course is to provide fundamental knowledge of coaching, its characteristics, types and most common models.
